Hey guys,
New guy on here. Just waiting for DAS before I can get on the road with my Triumph TT600. Only problem facing me now is where to keep it.
Living in Castlepark, Irvine, I don't have a driveway or garage. I have space in my back garden to build a brick garage or shed. Sounds ok, but I have no idea really what I am doing.
Anyone know of any good sites for advice on this? Or can anyone help me out on here?
I have thought about building it down the bottom of my garden with the door facing onto my now fence, soon to be gate. I am unsure as to whether brick or breeze block would be best, but think breeze block would be cheaper, so probably go with that. For the roof probably wood, with felt covering. I would like to install a roller door, like those used on shops, any ideas?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks guys. _________________ Don't fight for what you want, fight for what you have. |

Hi Gaz,
The problem with a permanent garage is planning permission, building regs and all that. A more temporary thing, like a wooden garden shed doesn't need permission and is usually good enough. |

I know a certain Busa Rider that could build you a good garage/hut for your bike, if you could talk him into it. He has a cracker at his house for his bike. You should PM him ( Allan) and see what he says, he lives local to you. _________________ NEVER GO FASTER THAN YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL CAN FLY.

You would be better to build a breeze block and then roughcast it, it's the best for the money. Whatever you build, make it a concrete base, even if you do a wood build.
I think roller doors are a pain, there noisey and fuk up easily. _________________ Cheers Spud

| I can help with building a hut if you fancy going down that road. My father in law owns Direct Buildings down the harbour you could go see him about a wooden hut mention that you know me and you will probably get about £30 quid discount not alot but better than nothing. I think he can also arrange for concrete floors instead of a wooden floor. |
