You sure their welded? Things can get pretty well stuck on exhausts. Try heating the joint with a D.I.Y. blow torch and tapping around the join with a copper faced hammer, if ye don`t hae this use a normal hammer but dinnae gie it the malky or ye can damage the collector box section.
