Good roads in ayrshireWhos got any suggestions for me. I'm bored going up and down the coast so i'm looking for some goos roads to ride. Anywhere in Ayrshire for quick jaunts, further afield for days out. I found a cracking road between Mauchline and Stathaven in south ayrshire but i.m always on the lookout for new tarmac. Any suggestions???

ONLY BAD POINTS IS FORRESTRY TRUCKS AN SLOW FARM TRAFFIC THERE IS OLSO SOME BLIND BENDS AN SUMMITS WHERE YOU NEED YOUR WITS ABOOT YAE, TOTAL MILES IS AROUND 100 FROM IRVINE IF YOU DONT ALREADY KEN THE ROAD ITS WORTH THE TIME TO TRY IT (BURN RUBBER BRO ) TAK CARE

i'll second that one,i often go girvan-newton stewart-new galloway-ayr.great roads.geez a shout if yer doon this way(girvan)an i'll come wi ye.

Not in ayrshire but the A82 has always been a fav of mine, from Dumbarton to Fort William.
Also the road Loch Lomond to Dunoon, love that road cos of the sense of speed going by the loch.
We need to get wur fingers out this year and get some runs done.

welcome to the forum  Im with spud A82 anyday take any of the millitary roads designed for hgv missile carriers but wow dont slow down
